Here is What You Will Find on This Fitness Blog…

Hi Gang! Welcome and thanks for checking out my blog!

Below, you’ll find a partial list of what you can expect to find, learn about, read about and question here on this blog.

This blog will be a 2-year project, designed to discuss new ways of THINKING for the fitness industry…I am not asking you or expecting anyone to blindly adhere to any methods or ideas I’ve found helpful over the years.

My wish is to share what I have learned & What I’ve found helpful during my own 25-year journey as a fitness trainer …and 35-year journey as a fitness nut.

Here is what you can expect to find:

300 lessons I’ve learned throughout my 25+ years of training people. 270 have already been written and composed into a book. Many of these blogs will end with a list of critical thinking questions to ponder, intended to help you look deeper into the subject.

Thoughts and summaries of various books articles and videos that I have read or seen over the years, with links for you to discover and learn more from those sources.

Critical thinking blogs…Socratic Questioning. I may take excerpts from a book/video/research/article, etc and simply list questions, designed to help us dig a little deeper. There will be more questions than answers….and that’s a good thing.

Quick video tidbits…tips and tricks that help with all things being a trainer.

• Favorite quotes from people in the industry. Insights from people you may have or may not have heard from. I might agree or disagree with them. It doesn’t matter. It is designed to give you something to think about.

Textbook screen shot posts…with highlights and critical thinking questions regarding how this relates to training/programming or thinking It might be from a physiology, anatomy, exercise physiology, critical thinking, metabolic regulation, endocrinology, psychology…I plan on keeping you on your toes.

Personal lessons I’ve learned or found helpful or invaluable along my fitness trainer journey

I’ll share various Protocols, nutrition and habit programs I set for different clients and tell you how it worked out, what changed I had to make or what I would do differently the second time around.

Old School Magazine articles I had saved from the late 1990s and early 2000s. Just for fun!

I’ll share fitness ideas and wisdom from times past. The critical thinking questions will help us all decide if they are still relevant…if science has since proved or disproved those shared ideas. We’ll read the exact words from the minds of guys like Vince Gironda, Bob Hoffman, Bill Pearl, Jack Lalanne, George Hackenschmidt, Eugene Sandow, just to name a few. Don’t worry, we’ll get some of the newer guys like Dr. Fred Hatfield and Charles Poliquin, too!

I’ll share my own strategies I used to open my gyms. What worked, what didn’t, what I learned.

Plus much, much, much more!!!!

I am excited to come out of my little shell in Bangkok and do this… connecting and sharing with all of you like minded friends!

Welcome and thank you for joining me!

Cheers,

Jeff Andora
